The Campsite

We invite you to come and spend your holiday in our tranquil, charming and friendly campsite. It is situated between vineyards and orchards in the quaint village of Scherwiller which lies on the Wine Route.


The site consists of 25 pitches and is open from May 1st to September 30th. It is a level grassy site shaded by a variety of trees. The campsite is well equipped with showers, hot, cold, water and washing-up facilities.


Also provided are a barbecue area, table, benches and a children’s play area with swings and sandpit. (Prices/Find us).

The Camping Palmer opened in 1977, first as a Camping à la Ferme, then it became an Aire Naturelle. Our online guestbook will be available soon. Come back and tell us about your stay with us!

The site offers a beautiful view over the ruins of the Ortenbourg and Ramstein’s castles. Both are accessible by foot from the campsite. It takes about an hour to walk there. From the castle, you’ll get a most inspiring view over our village of Scherwiller, the Plaine d’Alsace and the Val de Ville. On a sunny day, you’ll be able to see the top of Strasbourg’s majestic cathedral ; and a little further East, Germany’s Black Forest.


Scherwiller is known as the captital of Riesling, the king of Alsacian wines; which is well conveyed by the local brotherhood : the Rieslingers of Scherwiller. The brotherhood organises a series of events throughout the summer The campsite is within walking distance of the centre of the village where you’ll find most of what you need : baker, butcher, grocery store, a pharmacy, banks, the post office, a flower shop, restaurants, tourist information board, …
